Program Description

Event Details

For adults.

Join Library Yarns for a mosaic knit along with the popular Pressed Flowers motif. Mosaic knitting is a colorwork knitting technique with only one color worked per row, invented by late knitting revolutionary Barbara G Walker. Over three sessions, we will learn the history and basics of mosaic knitting with the Pressed Flowers project of your choice: choose from the kerchief below (free pattern linked below); a potholder/dishcloth (pattern provided in class); or bring your own pattern from those in the Ravelry collection below. This program is appropriate for intermediate knitters comfortable with casting on and binding off, knitting and purling, and basic increases and decreases. You will be responsible for your own materials for your project; yarn, needles, etc.
