In October, Parent/Child Book Club will discuss the novel Song for a Whale by Lynne Kelly.
"Twelve-year-old Iris and her grandmother, both deaf, fly from Texas to California and then take a cruise ship to Alaska-- armed with Iris's plan to help Blue-55, a whale unable to communicate with other whales."
About the program
Share the love of reading! Parent/Child Book Club is for kids ages 8-11 and their parents/caregivers. Each month, we will discuss a novel and enjoy activities and snacks related to the book. Books will be available for checkout at the Youth Services Desk approximately one month before the event.
