“Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can see only as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way,” said E.L. Doctorow. But a map helps, maybe some moonlight... Let’s make the journey smoother with Novel Outlining 101. Basic and technical - we’ll examine the arc of scenes and stories, the importance of getting to know your characters, and various methods to (loosely) plan and plot. We’ll also take a peek at how famous authors outlined their novels to remind ourselves not many (if any) can sit and write a brilliant novel from start to finish.
Wisconsin author Sally Collins (Muddled Cherries) will lead this fun and interesting workshop, which all are welcome to attend!
