Program Description

Event Details

For adults.

Pollinators are responsible for one out of every three bites we take in a day. They help plants to produce seeds, fruits and vegetables. In addition, pollinators play a vital role healthy ecosystems which clean the air, stabilize soils, protect from severe weather, and support wildlife. Many pollinator populations are in decline, a fact attributed to a loss in feeding and nesting habitats. Happily, it is possible to make your garden bright and colorful, with blooms throughout the growing season, and support pollinators at the same time!

Come and learn which plants to grow, how to design and space them, and how best to care for a garden that will delight both you and pollinators all season long.

Hosted by the Verona Sustainability Task Force along with the Sugar River Gardeners
